US Route 7/2, VT Routes 2A & 127 Colchester Intersection & Roadway Improvement Project

The Vermont Agency of Transportation (VTrans) is reconstructing a section of US Route 7/2 between Bay Road and Creek Farm Road to improve mobility and safety. This project will widen the road to add turning lanes and traffic signals at the intersections of Bay Road and Creek Farm Road; lower the grade of the Route 7/2 roadway to improve sight distance; restrict some property access to improve safety; and add a bicycle path and sidewalk between Creek Farm Plaza area and Route 2A near Union Elementary School.

Construction began in 2017 and will resume in mid-May 2018. Major tasks to complete are: installing, drainage connections, a new multi-use path and a new traffic signal at the intersection of Route 7/2 and Creek Farm Road. The project will be completed by the end of August.
